Many chat board users were frustrated by the two week time limit to modify their posts. We have changed this restriction and posts can now be modified for up to a year since they were last edited. This should be particularly useful for the Marketplace forum where people can now make one post and edit it over time as their inventory changes.

In recent months we've received feedback about the order in which the numismatic forums were being displayed. Specifically, the Money Marketplace has become an increasingly popular forum for our users and, as a result, we have moved it to a more prominent spot in the list of forums.

Many Registry users complained that XF and AU-graded coins received the same scores and were not broken out by the numeric grades. With this feedback in mind, NGC will now be showing different scores for XF 40, XF 45, AU 50, AU 53, AU 55, and AU 58, as well as for Plus and Star-graded coins. This will involve a recalculation of many Registry scores, but will now recognize the value and rarity differences of these grades. As a result of this enhancement, many sets are marked as updated if they included coins graded in this range.
We look forward to future enhancements that will continue to improve the NGC Registry.

Hi all,
Just a quick heads-up that our recent maintenance involved moving servers. That server move has caused a few data inconsistencies between the original server and the new one that we're cleaning up. Sorry for the inconvenience, but we should have it cleaned up shortly.
For the techies among us - we set up data replication between the databases a couple of weeks in advance to make the transition transparent to everyone, but there appear to have been some unique key issues on select items that we're having to address manually.

To help deal with some responsiveness issues on the servers and make sure the boards are speedy, I have turned off the new post counts that show on the list of forums. I have also limited the size of forum searches that can be performed.
New posts will show inside of forums but not in the forum lists.

Some of you may have noticed brief service interruptions on the Collectors Society Website the previous two Mondays (early morning, if you’re on the East Coast). Obviously this is something that we never want to do, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We do also pre-announce forthcoming site outages here in the message boards Announcements section.
Now for the good news. This gave us time to bring some serious performance enhancements online. This Collectors-Society.com is faster and more responsive all around. If you’re on the site a lot, no doubt you’ve already noticed.
These were “behind the scenes” upgrades. While they weren’t accompanied with the release of any new features, they allow us to keep moving forward with the next series of website enhancements – real knock-your-socks-off features. Definitely stay tuned.
